This morning we unveil the latest Startershop feature: Gift Orders. Customers buying from a Startershop now have the option of specifying their order as a gift. Gift orders allow the customer to specify a gift message and different delivery address (naturally, delivering to the same address is still possible) for their present. To help our merchants, Startershop automatically prints an invoice (to be sent to the paying customer) and a delivery note with the gift message (to be put in with the items in the order).
Gift orders make Startershop even more attractive to florists, craft based businesses and anyone selling gifts on the internet.
Yes. Your Startershop receives a shot of information from PayPal a short while after the order is paid, and part of this information is the “note to seller”, if your customer wrote one. The note is added to the end of any comment they wrote on the Startershop billing screen.
